SCRIBE is a smart writing tool for teachers and students.
Students read a prompt, write a response and submit for immediate feedback on their writing.
SIMPLE ... SUPPORTIVE ... SMART
SCRIBE addresses two pain points for teachers:
- engaging students in writing
- providing personalised feedback
to every student regularly
Each day, SCRIBE offers a new, fun prompt to inspire students's thinking and creativity.
Tell a story ... persuade readers ... inform your audience ... SCRIBE provides various writing challenges for students to build their writing confidence and skill set.
SCRIBE is a safe and supportive space for students to be creative and practise their writing, with positive and jargon-free feedback.

Our goal is writing should be fun for everyone, so we've designed SCRIBE to have no set-up or marking for teachers
SCRIBE is has quick, bite-sized activities that teachers can build into their lessons, focussing on deeper learning and student interaction.
Try it now. It's that easy!
“A very helpful tool for directing students on what they specifically need to work on improving.”
Lucy Irwin, Teacher & Across School Leader

“Impressed with the HUGE amount of time it saves for teachers!”
Heidi Olykan, Principal

SCRIBE publishes a new prompt daily, each with a different purpose and context.
Persuade decision-makers ... inform readers ... tell a story.
SCRIBE generates fun and varied challenges in settings and language that are relevant and appropriate to school-age students.

Teachers' feedback to students is the most important. But providing it to every student one or more times daily isn't sustainable.
SCRIBE gives students quick written feedback based on common international writing conventions, e.g. ideas, elaboration, structure, tone, accuracy.
All feedback is quick, brief and written in simple, positive english for students of all abilities and levels.
SCRIBE also awards 'coins' that help students see progress in their writing ... without being told whether they've passed or failed.

1. Writing Conventions
SCRIBE provides students and teachers with feedback based on common international writing conventions, such as students' ability to create and explain ideas, structure their writing, variety of vocabulary and language features, use of tone for the purpose and audience.
These conventions align with international curricula such as the New Zealand Curriculum (revised), Australian Curriculum for each state, and the CCSS in USA.
2. Teacher Feedback
When teachers subscribe, they receive a TEACHER INSIGHT report that summarises the overall strengths and work-on's of students' writing. This report is emailed automatically to teachers when they close a SCRIBE.
3. Customisation
Teachers who sign up to SCRIBE get free access to the library and can use this to create customised prompts for their lessons and students.
4. Other Subjects
Watch this space! We're working with teachers to expand SCRIBE's library to include other subjects such as current events and science. Sign up to tell us what you want, and hear about new features as they land!
5. Privacy
We take students' and teachers' privacy seriously. Students' writing is not stored or used to train AIs. We keep the minimum information about students and teachers necessary for the operation of SCRIBE, and don't share this with other parties.
